When you were talking about the score for Jaws, I totally agreed as to it’s effectiveness. My dad and I liked to torture my younger sister by singing those first two notes. They were so evocative that just hearing them would freak her out. To this day she still reacts the same way, and she’s in her forties.
And it sounds to me like One Flew Over The Cookoo’s Nest ought to be it’s own episode, once you get to it. I expect that to be a looooong segment.
Well, because I am totally unoriginal, I’ve decided to steal your idea. Once my Gilmore Girls Re-watch podcast has wrapped up (which is still some ways off as we just started Season 5, and it was a 7 season show), I’m going to take advantage of my Mom’s NetFlix and do a podcast about AFI’s 100 Comedies list. I hope to do that one monthly. Thanks for the inspiration Christiana and Mike! 🙂
Oh, and in the interim, I think (though am unable to confirm) I may have snagged your show a few more listeners through my Twitter evangelism. Except for my friend Nate’s show, Moral of the Story, yours is the only podcast dedicated to movies I listen to.
