Another Spike Lee movie you might enjoy is one called Bamboozled. It flopped at the box office, but is I think one of his better ones. It stars Damon Wayans and Jada Pinkett-Smith and is, if you really boil it down, a much darker take on the central plot of The Producers; trying to fail and, well, failing at it.
